A Parade for the King

Yesterday we happened by the square that the celebrations for the King had been held and there were many groups gathering for what apperaed to be a parade. We seem to have the most amazing luck for being in the rught place at the right time. We waited to see what was going to happen and watched the different groups gathering. Bands were praticing, including the most fantastic high school marching band and many ethnic Thai bands.
Eventually the parade started but the light was poor with the sun in the wrong direction so we ran ahead to try to get some pictures. We missed most of the beautiful floats made of flowers but managed to get some great pictures of people marching in the parade.
